Terms
The agreement for using Interndex.
These terms cover the Interndex web app, the Interndex Capture browser extension, and any AI assistant you connect to your account. Creating an account means you accept them.
Effective date / last updated: September 10, 2026.
What Interndex is
Interndex is a personal application tracker for internship and co-op searches: a tracker, pipeline, dashboard, and analytics built on records you create. It does not find jobs, apply on your behalf, write application materials, or guarantee any outcome from your search.
Interndex is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, and is not affiliated with any employer, job board, or applicant-tracking system whose postings you may reference while using it. It is built and operated by an individual developer, not a registered company — see Privacy for how that's described in more detail.
Interndex is a small, actively developed, student-built project. Features can change, and a record you or a connected assistant saved may be incomplete or wrong — verify anything important, especially a deadline, before you rely on it.
Eligibility
Interndex is built for students old enough to apply for internships and co-ops. The signup form does not currently verify your age. If you are old enough in your country to agree to these terms on your own, you may create an account; otherwise, a parent or guardian should do it for you and supervise your use of Interndex.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you store in Interndex and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Do not share your account, and tell us if you believe it has been accessed without your permission.
You may use Interndex only for your own job search records. Do not use it to store data you do not have the right to store, to attempt to access another student's account or records, or to disrupt or overload the service.
License, and what you put into Interndex
Interndex grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the web app and the Interndex Capture extension for your own job search. That license doesn't give you ownership of Interndex's software, extension, or underlying systems, and it ends if your account is closed or these terms are terminated.
What you type or save into Interndex — company names, notes, job descriptions you pasted in, anything else — stays yours. Interndex only needs the license to store it, display it back to you, and let a connected AI assistant you authorized read and write it on your behalf, so it can run the service for you. Interndex doesn't use your records to train a model, and doesn't sell them or license them to anyone else.
Pricing
Interndex is free. It is a non-monetized student project with no paid tier, no revenue, and no plan to charge for the service — there is no billing, renewal, or cancellation to describe, because nothing is ever billed. Were that to change at some point in the future, this page would be updated first to describe it before any charge applied to your account.
Connecting an AI assistant
You may authorize an AI assistant (for example, Claude or a ChatGPT connector) to read and write your own application records on your behalf. That connection acts as you: it can only reach data your own account already has access to, and only after you approve it on the consent screen. You can review and revoke a connected assistant's access at any time in Settings.
Interndex does not control what a connected assistant says or decides. Reasoning about a job posting, a status, or how to categorize an application is the assistant's, not Interndex's — Interndex stores what it is given and validates it against the same rules the web app enforces. Review what a connected assistant saves or changes; you remain responsible for your own records.
The same applies to the Interndex Capture extension: what it reads off a job posting page, or what an assistant infers from one, can be incomplete or wrong. Neither is a substitute for reading the actual posting before you apply, especially for a deadline or a compensation figure.
Acceptable use
- No attempting to bypass authentication or row-level security.
- No scraping, automated bulk extraction, or reverse engineering of Interndex beyond what is needed for your own connected assistant to use the documented MCP tools.
- No reselling, sublicensing, or operating Interndex as a service for others.
- No uploading unlawful content or content that infringes someone else's rights.
Termination
You may stop using Interndex and delete your data at any time. Archiving and permanently deleting an individual application is self-service, right in the app. So is closing your account entirely: open Settings, choose Delete my account, and confirm your password, and your account and every record tied to it are deleted. You can download a copy of your data from Settings first. If you need help with either, email support@interndex.dev. We may suspend or terminate access for a violation of these terms, including the acceptable-use rules above.
Limitation of liability
Interndex is a free service, offered on a best-effort basis by an individual developer rather than a company. To the fullest extent the law allows, Interndex is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it, including a missed deadline or an inaccurate record entered by you, captured by the extension, or written by a connected assistant you authorized. No fee is ever charged for Interndex, so there is no monetary cap to state here — liability is limited to the fullest extent the law permits.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules — the operator's home jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the “last updated” date above will change and Interndex will tell you directly — an email or an in-app notice — rather than only updating this page silently. Continuing to use Interndex after a change means you accept the updated terms.
